Privacy Policy
Last updated August 12, 2026
Your financial documents are sensitive, and we treat them that way. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01 Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Bank Statement Converter (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use our Service. We are committed to keeping your financial documents private and secure.
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
02 Information We Collect
- Documents you upload for conversion, which may include the financial data contained within them. These files are processed solely to produce your converted output.
- Account information such as your name and email address when you register.
- Usage and technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically to operate and improve the Service.
03 How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core Service — converting your statements into the formats you request.
- To manage your account, process payments and provide support.
- To secure, maintain and improve the Service, and to comply with legal obligations.
04 File Handling & Retention
Uploaded files are processed securely and automatically deleted after conversion, typically within one hour. We do not retain the contents of your statements beyond what is necessary to deliver your results.
Converted output is available for you to download and is removed on the same short schedule unless you have an account feature that stores your history.
05 Data Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, along with strict access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information using bank-level practices.
07 Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
We are GDPR compliant and honor valid data subject requests within the timeframes required by law.
09 Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and where appropriate we will notify you directly.
